My son was bitten by a dog?
seems to me it would be a real shame if "someone" were to sneak that puppy a little wet food (kibbles n bits of antifreeze or d-con)...not that I would recommend such an action...but it would be a real shame...

otherwise if the dog barks/growls when people pass the house etc, try to get video or pictures. Also a petition of other neighbors that have issues with this dog won't hurt.
Reply:kill the dog at night and stick itin the road say that a truck went over it somone asks
Reply:I have never heard of such neglect of duty by the local authorities. Go up the next level of government and keep complaining until you get some action.
Reply:i would report this to the police they must be able to do somthing.
Reply:just call the police they will get it put down
Reply:I am not in canada but I can't believe nothing is being done.

I would force the issue!! Dogs in the states have to be under control of the owner at all times so this dog would have been in more than one violation. In the mean time get a pellet gun to keep this dog away from your property and the children.

Is it possible when it comes off of its property for someone to get it and take it to the authorities as a "stray"
Reply:Keep "squeeking"!! The squeeky wheel gets the oil.
Reply:If the authorities won't do anything try contacting the Local News. When they investigate make sure to show pictures. Sometimes embarassing the local authorities is the only way to get something done.
Reply:I would contact your local SPCA or Humane Society if the authorites wont do anything, also it would help if you had a medical report to show them
Reply:You have to have some kind of an animal control office, contact them. Or your local humane society - they should be able to tell you who to contact. Someone regulates this sort of thing. Also, if the bite broke your son's skin, you need to make sure that the dog does not have rabies. And make sure that your son is up to date on his tetnus shot. This is one instance, if the owners or the authorities are not going to do anything, you may have to defend yourself or your family against the dog and take matters into your own hands.
Reply:If this is the second time you should go to the nearest spca or nspca, and report this case to them and see if they can't do something about this animal, but you msut go see them while the bites are still on your son. That dog has to be put down
Reply:the dog has problems and what kind of dog is it they should put it down or take it to a trainer.
Reply:learn how to shoot girl. you have to protect your kid!!!!!!!!
Reply:If the same dog bit my sons twice, let alone once. I would kill that dog myself. I would not even hesitate about it. It sounds like the owner and the wortheless police are not going to do anything about it, so maybe you need to. I would kill that dog. Now your son is probably scared of all dogs because of the irresponsible owner of the nasty dog. Is there a leash law where you live. There is everywhere I know of. The owner of the dog needs to be fined for breaking the leash law.
