Is this common?

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my second child. The first time I was pregnant I was so sick for the first trimester with bad cramps too and also had really bad skin problems. This time, my skins fine ..... so far, and I had no signs or symptoms of pregnancy except for my missed period. It seems so weird and I don't feel pregnant because of that. Has this happened to anyone else? Also my first child was a girl.... could this mean I might be pregnant with a boy?

Is this common?
Yes! That is very common! I am also 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child, but it is the opposite for me. I was acne free, not sick, and not cramping with my 4 year old. Now I am achy in my stomach, sick, and my face looks like I am 13 again. ( I am 25).

Some people say if you get morning sickness you are having a girl, and vice versa.

Congrats! I am due Jan. 16th and I am a nervous wreck even though we have been trying for 2 months. So if you want email me and we can compare notes. Again Congrats!!!
Reply:Just goes to prove that every pregnancy is different.
Reply:Every pregnancy is a completely different experience, never expect the same things to happen... no need to worry.
Reply:All pregnancies are different. With my son and daughter I had morning sickness. But now, baby #3, I never got morning sickness and I didn't feel pregnant until about 6 mts.
Reply:Every pregnancy is different dear!!!!!!
Reply:All three of my pregancies were completely different - super sick with one, not at all with the other two - other differences too. Also all three were girls. I think every pregnancy is different - good luck!
Reply:Every pregnancy is different. I was more sick when I was pregnant with my daughter. With my son, my only symptom was a missed period.
Reply:My first one was a dream come true. I didn't feel like I was even pregnant until the very end too. Now my second one I was completely miserable. I had morning sickness all day for all nine months, I gained 15 more pounds than the first one, plus I was just uncomfortable all the time. Just like each baby is different each pregnancy is too. I am 5 and 1/2 with my third and I had morning sickness for the first 3 months. Now that that is gone, I have been having a lot of cramps. I have only gained 8 pounds all together so far. So she doesn't have too much room to move.
Reply:Every pregnancy is different. If you have it that easy the whole time just be thankful!
Reply:no this does not mean you will have a boy i was fine all through my first pregnancy and had a girl. my second i was as sick as a dog and had a boy.anyone you ask will say no pregnancy is the same.
Reply:yes that is common. The same happened to me. My first I had all kinds of symptoms. I felt sick and couldnt eat and I had really bad cramps. My second pregnancy I had nothing. It was great. I eventually in the end had really bad ligament pain and lower backaches, but over all it was easy and not as bad as the first. I had two boys. Every pregnancy is different!
Reply:When I was pregnant with my first child (girl) I had the same problems you did with your first. I also had some complications such as edema, dehydration, and severe cramps. My second child however, was the complete opposite. Very little morning sickness, little fatigue, good skin, etc... The only thing in common was that I had edema with both of my pregnancys and my second child was also a girl.

The second pregnancy made me want to have another! The doctor told me that each pregnancy was different in each person, additional pregnancys could yet be different than the first two.

Hope this helps you!
Reply:i was so sick when i was pregnant the first ime and i had a boy so maybe it just gets eaiser with each pregnancy, hope you have have a healthy boy or girl
Reply:Every pregnancy is TOTALLY different. I would also say no to the it means its a boy part as well.
Reply:I've heard that the shape of your stomache and your craving can tell if you're having a boy a girl. It just an old wives tale.
Reply:Every pregnancy is different. With my first I have no skin problems and any other kinds just a lil morning sickness and frequent urination. And Now with my 2nd, I have bad skin problems and also allergic reaction to some of the food I really love the most. And it doesn't mean you're having a boy. That's just a lil old wives tale kinda thing. I thought I was having a girl this time because my morning sickness was soo bad I couldn't eat and we went in for an ultrasound and it said I was having another boy. And I didn't feel pregnant with my first until i was 5 or 6 months. Im 18 weeks today with my second and still don't feel pregnant sometimes.
