Depo Shot weight??

I just got my second Depo shot, and I have gain alot of weight and got really bad achne(My skin use to be super clear). I have herd it's almost imposable to lose Depo weight. I will not take the shot again, But what can I do about the weight and the achne in the meen time?????I know diet and Exercise but how offen?? what types. Any Diet pills??? Please help I am Desperate!

It is a fact that the depot can cause weight gain for women. However, it is possible to lose that weight with regular exercise and a balanced diet. The British Heart Foundation recommends 30 mins of regular sustained exercise every day or 5 days a week. Gradually increase this duration as your stamina increases. The alternative to the depot is the combined pill Yasmin which has been found to reduce the incidence of acne. Diet pills will only be prescribed if your GP considers your body mass index falls in the category of obese. I was on it for FOUR years and it royally screwed my body up.


After FIVE years you need a bone density check, that's how much depo screws up your system.

Reply:I was on the shot for 10 years and just stopped it because I want to have children. I didn't really gain much weight on it though and if I exercise it is easy to lose it. Once the hormones from the shot are out of your system (maybe 3 months or so) your body should adjust. and marykay makes a really good acne treatment get for the acne.
Reply:I went off depo before I gained a whole lot of weight, and I enjoy swimming so thats what I did to lose the extra lbs. But, as for the acne, it depends on which type you have. For me the depo trigger adult nodular acne, and I have learned how to manage it, but it is nearly imposible to avoid all break outs. Email me if you want. I am an acne guru.
