Eyebrow piercing??

Okay so i got it pierced its the second day but im looking at pictures and it wasnt done correctly it wasnt enough skin punctured.

How can I close it up without getting infected and making sure. I might keep it if it doenst look that bad. I dnot think it looks that bad but could it be harmful in the future?

Please give tips and help!

This was the first day, so that is why it is red.

Eyebrow piercing??
I think it looks good, but if you aren't satisfied I would go back to the people who did it.
Reply:take it out asap.. there is not enough skin at all.. yes take it out, and it will close up just fine.. just keep the area clean...and next time... make sure you check out the place you are getting it done at.
Reply:is that even ur eyebrow? looks more like ur temple...i dont think it was in the right place
Reply:I think it looks good, you should actually keep it.

From the picture, I can tell that there actually was enough skin pierced. It looks like it was done correctly.

You really dont want a huge, long bar in that area. What you have now looks nice, and dainty.
Reply:If you want it to close just take it out, but keep the hole clean. It should close or at least start to close very fast though like within a day or so.
Reply:They used the wrong kind of barbel.. A straight barbell should never be used in a surface piercing. Take it out, let it heal, and then go to someone who knows what they're doing.
Reply:please take it out and have them re do that! its a horrible job. the skin segment they used is waaaay too thiny of an area! u need to have that current one close up, and get it re done and for free from the same place.

another thing, did u want the brow piercing in the spot its at? its such a random place, it actually looks kind of bad. u should have the brow pierced vertical noot horizontal.
Reply:same thing happened to me when I was 15 but I actually found out, that it's not that there was not enough skin punctured... it's actually a natural reaction taking place within your body. It only happens to some people, your body is rejecting the foreign object and eventually it will push the piercing out completely. Titanium is supposedly the best material to use as a bar etc but that still didn't work for me. I was so sad but I had to take it out because it can get caught on things and rip your skin leaving an even bigger scar! Good Luck! ps just saw you pics that is a really bad job I would definitly take it out, pronto!!
Reply:okay, first remove the jewelry, and make sure that before you take it out, you santize your hands with anti bacterial soap (if you use germ-x or something, it might sting)

then, use peroxide (after the piercing is out) and clean the area carefully, but thoroughly.

do that for a couple of days a couple times a day with the aid of sea salt. Use a squirt bottle or washcloth, or if you feel like it, just dunk that part of your face in the sea salt soak for a few minutes (warm it up, and it feels really good!)

this reduces swelling, and teh salt speeds up the healing process.

if you do this enough, there should be barely a scar at all.

also, if you want to, put pure vitamin E on the area and rub it in. that reduces swelling, bruising, and scars.

follow this, and nothing should go wrong at all!

the peroxide kills germs,

the sea salt soak speeds up the healing process and keeps it clean,

and the Vitamin E relaxes the whole area.

try this for a week. promise it will get better quickly and saftely! ^^
Reply:Yeah, there's definitely not enough skin for your piercing. It's way too shallow, and will definitely reject.

Straight barbells are not suitable for this piercing at all. Vertical, or horizontal eyebrow piercings for that matter.

You need it done with either a curved barbell, or a surface bar (if you get another horizontal). I think surface bars work much better.

That straight barbell, plus your piercing having that little amount of skin, is guaranteed rejection.

To be honest, it looks like it's already beginning to- no piercing should be that red, even if it's brand new.

Rejection is when your body refuses to heal a piercing (can be for many diff. reasons- like too little skin), and literally forces the jewelry out through your skin.

It won't get infected if you take it out now, and let it heal.

Just continue to follow the proper aftercare.

This is the amount of skin a horizontal eyebrow piercing needs to have:

EDIT:

Edited my answer after looking at the last picture- I couldn't tell if it was a straight barbell from the other pictures.

EDIT #2:

Wanted to add that when you go to have it repierced, go to a different piercer! The one who did yours has no idea what they are doing.

Take that last picture to show your new piercer, and they will reassure you that it had no chance, %26amp; that it's better to get redone.
