Tanning for very fair-skinned persons!?

I am very ligh-skinned and have tanned in tanning beds before, but for some reason I burn at times and other times I do not. I realize it depends on the bed, but is there a good time-increasing schedule that I can use so I don't burn? i.e., first session, 3 min, second session 5 min, etc

Tanning for very fair-skinned persons!?
yes, I use to work at a tanning salon that was smart tan certified, depending on how light you are you need to start out small, like 3 minutes (for 2 sessions) then maybe 5 mintues (for 2-3 sessions) then 7 and so on until you build it up. That is the BEST way to not burn and it will actually help you maintain a tan longer then those places that don't care about your skin and throw you in there for 15 minutes. Take care!
Reply:hello.

i am VERY VERY FAIR SKINNED.

what you do is put on sunblock 15 minutes before you go to tan...

then tan for 15 minutes and then put more sunblock on...

then you tan for like20 minutes...

just do it carefully
Reply:being fair skinned... you are so much more susceptible to skin cancer... i think fair skin is beautiful... wear sunscreen... even if you don't burn and you just tan... that is still a negative reaction to the sunlight.

visit this website to learn more about it.

Reply:I agree with the girl above!! Be careful!! I work with a lady that has been getting skin cancer removed--all from going to the tanning beds. Use sunscreen and do not burn!!
Reply:im fair - skinned too and i was born %26amp; i live in ireland. shocker

huh? so anyway, dont go NEAR a tanning bed! it makes your tan look fake. i did it %26amp; i looked like Dolly Parton!ha ha,

very funny!so DONT go near a tanning bed. trust me.

LOL xxxxxx
Reply:hey usually when i go ,

i get a x4 or x5 bronzer..

because im so light,

it doesnt make my look like,

bronze, or yellow or orange

but usually i go the,

super 1 bed ( which is the lightest bed)

and i go for 15 minutes,

now i have only been 4 times,

but after your fourth visit you start to bring out your natural, skin colur when you tan,

so just try differnt bronzers, until you find the one that works for you,

(ask the lady behind the counter for help picking one)

and then make sure to moistrize..

:)
Reply:If you're fair skinned, what are you doing using tanning beds? Us paleys need to use lot's of sunscreen and avoid the sun like crazy.

I've already had 2 fair skinned in-laws treated surgically for malignant melanoma.

The damages don't show up when you're young..........but they sure do in middle age via skin damage.
