Just up til about 2 hours ago, my toddler started being very irritable. I'm guessing he got sick from me cause for the last 2 days I had a bad cold, congestion, cough, chills.
Now I think i passed it on to him. At first he had some constipation(he regularly has it). Then I noticed, after he pooped, went to sleep for a bit, woke up crying, wanted to move around, breathing fast, like a breath a second. He makes sort of a like a grunt, like being constipated still while breathing. His skin color is ok, his face is a little red, pinkish. Has a fever of 99.3(couldnt get exactly, he doesnt like that). His stomach seems hard, like its bloated. He only threw up once cause he sort of choked on his saliva or mucus while crying.
the breathing slowed down a bit but wow that was scary. I know how parents overreact to child sickness, and dont want to look stupid waiting in the hospital for 5-6 hours just to have the doctor tell us he has a cold.
please help...thanks in advance
Toddler flu symptom?? something else? sorry long detail?
I definitely would call your pediatrician. Rapid breathing while asleep is not normal. Accompanied by low-grade temp, hardened abdominal area, %26amp; obvious discomfort while sleeping should be evaluated by a doctor. He could have a simple cold and also be constipated, but why chance it?
Reply:The baby might have gas and a slight constipation, try giving the baby Tylenol, and wait at least 72hours then try using an anal suppository to relieve constipation, try giving a lot of fluids(ie)soup. You should give your Pediatrician a call.

Cold weather makes my lips insanely chapped to the point where i can barley talk + chapped knuckles!?!?
ok so it snowed a few days ago the second day my lips were seriously chapped and yesterday i noticed my knuckles started to shed skin.. and it really hurts
is this normal do i have a serious condition?
Cold weather makes my lips insanely chapped to the point where i can barley talk + chapped knuckles!?!?
It's completely normal. My lips get chapped in the winter too. If you're like me, you lick your lips out of habit, even when your outside. The moisture on your lips causes them to dry out faster in the wind, or something like that. :) My hands dry out too. Just get some good lip balm and hand moisturizer. You'll be fine.
Reply:I have the same problem jsut use some lotion
I looked around my school and seems like almost no one has that problem..
Reply:This happens to me in the winter! The best thing you can do is get Vaseline and spread it over your lips very thickly at night. Do this on your hands as well and wear gloves to bed or socks over your hands. Keep doing this nightly to heal them! Then during the day, you need to keep lotion on your hands every time you wash them and keep chap stick on your lips to protect them! And avoid licking your lips as this makes them ten times worse! Hope you feel better!

Are there any laws in California about daycare workers and smoking?
My son is 10 mos old. I have noticed that one of the new workers at his daycare smelled of cigarette smoke once last week, and when I went to pick him up today she was in the parking lot smoking a cigarette. She came back in smelling like smoke again. I didn't want my son to be around her. Especially because he has had significant breathing issues recently.
I have already written a letter to the director of his daycare asking her to take action and provided articles stating the research about the effects of second-hand smoke on babies, including contact with the residue that gets left behind on clothes, skin, and hair. I will change daycares if the issue is not resolved.
But I am wondering, aren't there any laws protecting our children from daycare workers who smoke? I believe that the daycare directors should be watching out for this when they hire workers whether there are laws or not, but they are not always going to know that someone is a smoker until they smell it on them.
Are there any laws in California about daycare workers and smoking?
From my understanding they cannot smoke near the children or inside the facility. So if they go outside by themselves on their break, than they can smoke.
Because of your sons breathing issues, I agree that you request that this women does not handle your child. If your demands are not met, switch day cares.
I feel the same way you do, I don't want smokers near my baby it doesn't matter if the cigarette is in their hand or lingering on their clothes - you can still smell it, it stinks, %26amp; is unhealthy.
Reply:"If there isn't a law, shouldn't there be?"
I am not normally such a huge advocate of free markets, but: no. Market forces should sort out that sort of problem.
Day care is a choice you have made. You can make another choice, viz: staying home, or, a new day care.
Would you ask that paediatricians who smoke be fired from their jobs as well? Primary school teachers? Would you have children taken away from parents who smoke...?
Reply:I agree with you, mostly.
Secondhand smoke is deadly, especially around small children. However, I don't think that there are any laws that I know of, because smoking cigarettes is legal. I encourage you to pursue the daycare, and tell them what is on your mind. Remember, though, you're not a smoker, and I am going to presume that you never have been. If you have, please excuse this remark. Smoking is highly addictive, and it will be very hard for you to set up a law against it for daycare workers, so dont think that you're going to be able to get rid of it completely. Maybe if you requested that they only smoke at home, or off work. But making them quit completely, in my opinion, is a little ambitious.
Reply:Ask the caregiver (politely) to wear a jacket when she smokes and to wash her hands before returning to work. Any residue she accumulates will not touch your baby. She should already be pulling her hair back anyway. Smoke residue washes right off. Just tell her you are worried about your baby's chemical sensitivity.
By the way, you should consider asking the director if they've got any toys made in China and if so, to get rid of them. There's been findings of lead in them. I'd be a lot more worried about that then smoke residue.
Reply:You should suggest that she wash her hands which she probably does and maybe you should suggest she rinse her face and quickly brush her teeth. I smoke but NEVER around my children, a light smoker I am, but I always wash my hands and face and brush my teeth. It was like I never had one... Smelling like cigarette and getting it on your child is nasty. I would be pissed to. Even though I am a light smoker I NEVER pick up my child after having a smoke and smell it on them later. There is ways to prevent that but you can't prevent someone from smoking....
Maybe you should just make that suggestion to her because every daycare you put your child in, there IS going to be someone who smokes there regardless of whether us parents like it or not
Reply:I don't think there are, I worked in a California daycare center and we did have a few care givers who smoked. The non-smoking care givers and parents where complaining of the smell the smokers had after returning from their breaks. The Director did talk to us as a group at our staff meeting and mentioned that some parents and staff were complaining of second hand smoke. As a group we came up with a few ideas to help the smokers when coming back from breaks such as washing hands, brushing their teeth, using mouthwash, wearing a jacket or smock while smoking. There really isn't anything you can do it's there choice to smoke. It is your right as a parent to protect your child and do what's best. Things changed after we basically confronted the smokers in a non threatening way they did whatever they could to lessen the smell and some actually only smoked on their way home or they quit smoking because they saw it was effecting the innocent little people who count the most.

A few questions about getting ready for mexico...?
im going to mexico around the second week in april. i live in wisconsin (it's the middle of winter)
1. what should i do to get my pale skin ready for the sun in the 2 months before my trip?
2. why do freckles appear when i get a tan? how can i get more to appear?
3. when im there, what SPF should i use to protect me from a sun burn, but still get a tan and not shock my skin
4. any other helpful things to tell me?
thank you so much :)
A few questions about getting ready for mexico...?
Use sun tan lotion...Actually sun block!
and get in the water..you actually tan faster while in the water then just by laying down on the beach...but remember the sun block or else you will get burned BADLY..so use SPF like 50...or sumthin..goood luck!!
Ohh and if your going to mexico...bring a couple sexy swishy dresses for the clubbing..perferable black or red.
Have Fun Good luck!
Reply:ahh i mean the SEA, not the OCEAN, haha Report It

I'm writing a book and i want to know what you guys think of this little piece..Its Girly?
Abbie had gotten herself into a whirlwind of trouble. Love, horrible love had taken its toll once again. The feelings which she had suppressed for so long were thrown in her face. The decision to not turn around and go back began to get harder to remember as she looked far down into his brown eyes that held some sort of gold speckled power over her. Though she knew tomorrow he wouldn’t care and that nothing in him returned to her the same affection her heart poured out towards him, she almost didn’t care. He leaned in and his lips slightly brushed over the top of hers, then out of some morally correct sub consciousness she turned her head and his lips hit her cheek. This had to be wrong, nothing about this could be right. She had someone at home who loved her. He also had someone that loved him in the same respect. But the feelings that they had shared a few years earlier had a tendency to come back and haunt them both, usually at different times, there hearts never seeming to cooperate with one another. But this time, this night there bodies shared an attraction that they had to fight off, out of better judgment and respect for the ones that loved and trusted them both, but he chose to give in. Abbie looked down at the floor and tried to think of what to say. No words of any substance could come to her mind, no thought of why they shouldn’t do this held the spotlight at this moment in time. She looked up back into his eyes, the biggest possible mistake that she could have made, and there was that radiant brown again piercing her. She held a stare for a second, and then opened her mouth to speak. What words would come out? She wasn't sure, but she hoped it would be the voice of reason in this deadly situation. before a word had a chance to escape he grabbed the back of her neck, right where her hair reached her skin, and pressed his lips into hers. Every muscle in her body tightened and then fell loose all in a matter of that brief ten seconds. And with her loosing muscles she sank into the sinful kiss she knew she would pay for later. it didn’t matter to her what became of her heart, or what became of there friendship after this, She knew it would go nowhere. So for that moment she lost all clarity of what was right and what was wrong, and just enjoyed his lips on hers for the last time.

Not too bad but if you are serious about writing you need to learn about verbs. Passive verbs are to be used sparingly. Your "had gotten" in the first sentence is a real problem. Also avoid the awkward verb "had taken" use "took." Avoid any use of "had."
Look at this sentence, "The feelings which she had suppressed for so long were thrown in her face."
Try, "Her long suppressed feelings just slapped her in the face."
Note it is shorter and more direct. Always go for shorter and more direct writing. Active verbs are necessary.
Also your paragraph is absurdly long, hopefully it is just a formatting issue.

Photoshop help??!?
Photoshop?? ?? ?? ??
( if u don't know these questions then don't write anything )
1) How do u smooth out the skin??
2) When i use the burn tool it makes the picture darker but the color is black how can i change the color so it would be the same color as the picture but a little darker instead of black??
3) How do u make the picture look professional like the model pictures in like america's next top model??
4) And when i' trying to put a picture n another picture like 2 layers, the second picture turns out bigger than the first layer, i was wondering how i could make the second layout smaller so it would fit the background.....?
Photoshop help??!?
1) There are a few ways to do this. The simplest option is to use the blur tool to get rid of small blemishes or inconstincies. For large blemishes or warts etc, you can copy/paste a difference piece of skin with similar tone over it and them blur it in. Lighting up certain areas can also help to make up for bad lighting. Just remember not to add too much, or it takes away from the natural coloring.
2) You have to consider it on a gradient. It will always be a gray scale, you can not burn in color, but if you are simply making it a little bit darker, it will still retain it's natural color with a darkening effect.
3) Modeling pictures have a great advantage of being taken in very clean environments with makeup, etc which is specifally used because of it's ease to modify and exentuate, so don't kick yourself if your pictures don't look like those. A lot of it comes down to lighting as well, which also is involved in the original photography, but which you can also do to some extent in photoshop. Besides that, removing blemishes like in your first question can help, as well as isolating them and using backgrounds that compliment their features, drawing out their eyes/lips, etc.
2) The simplest way to do this would be to open the second image in a seperate file and reduce the image size before moving it over to the file that you are working on.
I hope this helps!

Reply:1) use "BLUR" tool combined with sharp tool until your satisfied with the output
2) i can't remember what is the name of the toolbar.. just try to find "ADJUSTMENTS" and use the three arrows to adjust the color of the image
3) its up to you to combine all the tools for a merely professional-look picture file
4) choose edit and click free transformation tool, there you can resize the image to fit in the background
